MBT's quick-absorbing FMF pads are a 3-ply composite of fine fiber, meltblown, and fine fiber polypropylenes, and these blue-colored pads are oleophilic and hydrophobic, intended for oil/water separation applications. These 3-ply, middle-weight pads are used to absorb the majority of a spill, and FMF composite products, MBT's most popular, can be used for virtually any in-plant application. The fine fiber polypropylene of this sorbent is tissue-paper-thin, though it's also durable and super-absorbent, and the ultra-thin fibers form a microscopic, tacky surface that allows this product to grip cement floors and remove residual fluids. The soft, non-linting, and porous texture of this highly-absorbent sorbent grabs hydrocarbon-based fluids (oil, gasoline, diesel, hydraulic fluids, etc.) and draws them into the lofty, fibrous center of this fabric while repelling water.
